Portfolio Manager
As a Portfolio Manager at Acropolis, Scott works directly with individuals, families, professionals, and small business owners, delivering comprehensive financial planning as well as investment portfolio design and analysis to help his clients achieve their long-term financial goals. He works with his clients as a Family CFO, organizing and implementing sound financial planning strategies in areas that include cash flow & money management, wealth management, retirement planning, college education planning, insurance & risk management analysis, executive & employee benefit analysis, trust & estate planning strategies, & business succession planning.
Scott earned his B.A. in Economics from Indiana University. He has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner since 2007. Prior to joining Acropolis, he was co-owner of McKillip Financial Services and a representative of MassMutual Financial Group, where he developed an expertise in the areas of life insurance, disability income, estate planning, and wealth management. He joined the Acropolis team in 2018 to add a more comprehensive approach to his practice, while gaining the strong back office support staff and investment department expertise at Acropolis.
When asked about what makes Acropolis different, Scott stated, “Our team develops personalized strategies which meet each client’s particular needs. Simply stated, we make sound recommendations based on knowing our clients very well. We listen and we learn about their thoughts, feelings, fears, and dreams. We custom tailor their plan, we monitor it, and we make adjustments as our clients move into the different stages of their lives. We love partnering with our clients and working from the same side of the table to make their hopes and dreams become reality.”
Outside of Acropolis, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Cynthia, and their daughters, Claire and Colleen. He enjoys traveling, playing ice hockey, fly fishing, skiing, golf, and he especially enjoys coaching & watching his daughter’s competitive softball & field hockey teams.
